Who we are

Sisak Expeditions offers boat expeditions from Nuuk, Greenland, and is responsible for the personal data described here. You can contact us at info@sisakexpeditions.com.

What we collect

When you send an enquiry through our website, we receive the information you enter: your name, email address, the type of expedition, the number of guests and your message. If you book a trip with us, we may also need further details to plan it with you, which we will ask for directly.

Why we use it

We use your information only to answer your enquiry, plan and carry out your trip, and keep in touch with you about it. The legal basis is that you have asked us to take steps before entering into an agreement with you, and, once you book, the agreement itself. We do not sell your data, and we do not send you newsletters unless you ask for them.

Who handles it for us

• Netlify hosts our website and receives the enquiry form. Netlify is based in the USA and processes data on our behalf under standard data protection terms.
• Simply.com (Denmark) hosts our email.
• The map on our website loads satellite imagery from Esri. To show the map, your browser connects to Esri's servers, which can see your IP address.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not lead to a booking are deleted within 12 months. Information about bookings is kept for as long as needed for the trip and as required by accounting law.

Cookies

Our website does not use tracking or advertising cookies.

Your rights

You can ask to see the information we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, object to our use of it, or receive a copy. Write to info@sisakexpeditions.com. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Danish Data Protection Agency (Datatilsynet), datatilsynet.dk.
